Red Dead Online Out Now as Standalone Release

Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode, simply dubbed Red Dead Online, is now available as a standalone release. It is available through all digital distribution platforms, and is priced at Rs. 375 as an introductory offer. The standalone release does not require the single player campaign of the game.

"Join millions of fellow players in the American West, and experience a world now packed with years’ worth of new features, gameplay and additional enhancements," says Rockstar in the announcement. "Forge your own path as you battle lawmen, outlaw gangs and ferocious wild animals to build a life on the American frontier."

Red Dead Online has its own story mode that is completely separate from the grand campaign of the single player mode. The protagonist is the player's own character, which can be created from scratch, and follows them around as they try to tame the American wilderness and make a name for themselves.

It is worth noting that console versions of Red Dead Online will require either a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription.
