A conference guide to AWS re:Invent 2020
Editor's note
There's no getting around it: AWS re:Invent 2020 will be different than any previous version of the show. Amazon's annual cloud conference has grown into one of the largest gatherings in IT, but the COVID-19 pandemic has forced AWS to hold the event virtually this year.
The virtual setting of the event hinders opportunities to network, but it also opens the conference to an audience that didn't previously have the means to attend. AWS re:Invent 2020 is free, and there are no limits on how many people can attend sessions. It also extends over three weeks, from Nov. 30 to Dec. 18.
Despite the changes, some aspects of re:Invent should stay the same. Expect a bevy of feature updates, new services and discussions on broader cloud computing trends as AWS tries to set the agenda in the cloud market for the year ahead.
Use this guide to help navigate the conference with the latest news, analysis and expert advice about AWS and re:Invent.
