AMBALA: The district on Wednesday reported 77 new coronavirus cases, taking it's infection tally to 10,481, including 486 active patients, civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh said.
The district also reported death of a 78-year-old Covid-19 patients, pushing the toll to 128 with a mortality rate of 1.21% while the case doubling rate is 175 days.
Singh said the new cases were reported in Ambala City (36), Ambala Cantt (27), Chourmastpur (8), Naraingarh (3), and Barara, Mullana, and Shahzadpur (1 each).
As many as 87 patients were discharged during the day, taking the recovery count to 9,867 with a recovery rate of 94.14%, he said.
