Special focus on yoga in view of COVID 19 : Sports minister

Chandigarh, Dec 2 (UNI) Haryana Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Sandeep Singh said on Wednesday that in view of the current COVID-19 pandemic, special focus will be laid on Yoga for enhancing peoples immunity and overall well being.
He said that people can keep themselves fit by practicing yoga and constant efforts are being made by the State Government to popularise yoga among the younger generation.

Sandeep Singh held discussions with Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev late last evening to promote Yoga.

He said that the State Government is taking the safety of its citizens, especially senior citizens, very seriously in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He noted that under the guidance of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar people of the State are being encouraged to adopt Yoga.

He emphasized that yoga is the most powerful medium to increase immunity against COVID-19.
He appealed to the people that every citizen should take time for yoga every day and keep themselves healthy, he under lined that only a healthy person will be able to contribute to the development of the the state and the country.
