Seven killed, four injured as car collides with borewell lorry in Telangana

Ranga Reddy, Dec 2 (UNI) Seven people belonging to a family were killed and four others injured when

the car in which they were travelling collided with a borewell lorry while overtaking another vehicle on Hyderabad-Bijapur National Highway, at Malkapur Gate, Chevella Mandal in this district on Wednesday.

The accident occurred when the car was proceeding to Gurmathkal, Karnataka from Tadbund, Hyderabad , police said.

Six of them including a child were killed on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Chevella Government Hospital.

Deceased were identified as Ashifkhan (50), Naziabegum (45), Harsh (28, Nazia Bhanu (36), Saniya (18), Harshabhanu (6) and Khalidha (43).

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway, police added.
