In another accident, a 24-year-old cyclist was killed after being hit and run over by a sugarcane-laden tractor-trolly on Nul-Nilaji road near Nul village in Gadhinglaj tehsil of the district today.
The deceased, Shahrukh Nannusab Sanadi (24), resident of Nul village, was on way to bring fodder from a nearby farm in front of Swami Samarth Mandir on Nul-Nilji road on a bicycle, when the incident occurred, police said.
The Gadhinglaj police have arrested tractor driver Suraj Chavan on the charge of alleged careless driving in this connection, sources added.
