IPSA appreciates Govt's order

Imphal, December 01 2020: The International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) has expressed deep respect to the State Government over the order to disallow Government doctors practice in private healthcare institutes.

IPSA, in a statement said that the association and State people has been pressing long towards the cause and had met several doctors and firms or individuals running private clinics or hospitals td discuss the matter and realise the goal.

Although JNIMS, RIMS and Medical Directorate had made notifications from time to time to prohibit Government doctors from practising in healthcare institutes ran privately, doctors openly or clandestinely and IPSA has been advocating such activities for years.

Some private hospitals or clinics were' also supportive of IPSA's idea of not Utilising Government doctors, it said while adding that some doctors on the other hand, were adamant on continuing their practise citing public demand as the reason.

To everyone's delight the State Government has done a good thing by directing doctors to be in place of their respective posting and maintaining that private practice by Government doctors are not allowed, it said while appreciating the Government for the move.

Chief Minister's desire to set up a separate non COVID hospital is very welcoming and IPSA considers the CM has heard one of its long standing proposals, said IPSA while expressing heartfelt gratitude to the CM N Biren and State Government at large.
