Polling in GHMC election ends at 1800 hours on Tuesday

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (UNI) The polling in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) election ended at 1800 hours on Tuesday.
The polling passed off peacefully barring skirmishes at some places mainly between local TRS and BJP leaders and workers over alleged money distribution to voters.
The voters who were in the queue after 1800 hours are being allowed to cast their votes.
The final percentage of voting is yet to be announced,
Barring Old Malakpet division, the polling was completed in 149 of the total 150 divisions.
A repoll will be held on December three in the Old Malakpet division where the polling was stopped due to wrong printing of CPI symbol on the ballot papers.
The counting of votes will be taken up on December four.

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (UNI) Contrary to expectations of a heavy voter turnout after a fiery campaigning during the last two weeks, voter apathy marked the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election which ended at 1800 hours on Tuesday.
