Southern Railway to run daily special trains between Chennai and Tiruchendur

MADURAI: The railway board has approved operation of daily special trains between Chennai Egmore and Tiruchendur and between Madurai and Punalur.
Advance reservations for the trains are open.
Train No 06105 Chennai Egmore - Tiruchendur daily special will leave Egmore at 4pm from December 4 and will reach Tiruchendur at 8.05am the next day.
Train No 06106 Tiruchendur - Chennai Egmore daily special will leave Tiruchendur at 6.50pm with effect from December 5 and reach Egmore at 10.45am the next day.
These trains will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpet, Melmaruvathur, Tindivanam, Villupuram, Panruti, Tiruppadirippuliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai, Aduthurai, Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Seydunganallur, Srivaikuntam, Nazareth, Kurumbur, Arumuganeri and Kayalpattinam.
Train No 06105 will have an additional stoppage at Budalur while Train No 06106 will have an additional stoppage at Sattur.
The trains will comprise one first class AC coach, one AC 2 tier coach, one AC 3 tier coach, nine sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two luggage cum brake vans.
Train No 06729 Madurai – Punalur daily mail express special will leave Madurai at 11.30pm with effect from December 4 and reach Punalur at 10.20pm the next day.
Train No 06730 Punalur -Madurai daily mail express special will leave Punalur at 5.20pm from December 5 and reach Madurai at 6.20am the next day.
The trains will stop at Thiruparankundram, Tirumangalam, Virudhunagar, Maniyachchi, Nagercoil, Eraniel, Kuzhithurai, Parassala, Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram Central, Thiruvananthapuram Pettah, Kochuveli, Kazhakoottam, Kaniyapuram, Murukkampuzha, Chirayinkeezhu, Kadakavur, Varkala, Edavai, Paravur, Mayyanad, Kollam, Kilikollur, Kundara, Ezhukone, Kottarakara and Auvaneswsarem.
Train No 06729 will have an additional stoppage at Valliyoor and Train No 06730 will have an additional stoppage at Dhanuvachapuram.
The trains will comprise one AC 3 tier, 10 sleeper class coaches, seven general second class coaches and two luggage cum brake vans.
