Two-wheelers and commercial vehicles manufacturer,
Bajaj Auto recorded a sale of 4,22,240 units in November 2020, registering a single-digit growth of 5% from sales of 4,03,223 units in the same month last year.
Off the total, domestic sales in November 2020, stood at 1,98,933 units down 4% yoy. On the contrary, exports were at 2,23,307 units increasing by 14% yoy.
On the domestic front, two-wheeler sales came in at 1,88,196 units up 7% yoy. However, commercial vehicles (CV) was the spoilsport, as sales in the segment was at 10,737 units declining by 66%.
In total, two-wheeler sales (domestic and export) was at 3,84,993 units in November 2020, up 12% from 3,43,446 units in November 2019.
While total CV sales (domestic and export) was at 37,247 units in the latest month, down by 38% from November 2019, where sales stood at 59,777 units.
Between April - November 2020, Bajaj Ayto's sales stand at 24,30,718 units compared to 32,87,196 units, registering an overall decline of 26%. Two-wheeler sales in the current period stay at 22,19,677 units down 21% yoy and CV sales was at 2,11,041 units tumbling by 56% yoy.
At around 11.13 am, Bajaj Auto was trading at Rs3180.50 per piece up 0.25% on Sensex. The stock has surged to an intraday high of Rs3236.60 per piece on the same index in early deals.
