BATHINDA: As the protesting farmers remain adamant to force the union government to repeal the new agri laws, protests are gathering regular support from Indian diaspora settled in Canada and Australia.
Now two car rallies have been planned in Canadian cities of Brampton and Surrey. Brampton is in Ontario province and Surrey is in British Columbia province of Canada, both constitute a dense Punjabi population. The Punjabis residing in these two cities have organised small protests earlier as well.
A car rally named as Punjab Kisan morcha rally has been planned at Surrey on December 2 which will end at Indian Consulate in Surrey. Another car rally has been planned for December 5 at Brampton which will end at the Indian passport office.
Harbans Singh, a Punjabi activist settled at Brampton, said that we will take out a car rally on December 5 in support of Punjab farmers. We want the government to listen to protesting farmers and resolve their concerns. Many of the Punjabis settled in Canada, having lands back in Punjab too are affected by these laws".
A small protest has been organised at Melbourne in Australia as well.
