Dazn launches in 200 countries with boxing-led content

Dazn has launched its sports streaming service in more than 200 countries and territories with a catalogue initially dominated by live world championship boxing. The service was previously available in 9 markets – Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, Japan and the US – and is now rolling out globally at a launch price of GBP 1.99 or less. The Dazn app can be downloaded on to various internet-connected devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, PCs, smart TVs, streaming sticks and game consoles.

In a statement, Dazn said the global expansion is timed to coincide with back-to-back weekends featuring boxing fights included in the regular subscription price, starting with Billy Joe Saunders defending his WBO super-middleweight title against Martin Murray on 05 December and Anthony Joshua versus Kubrat Pulev on 12 December. 

The service in the new countries will also offer an on-demand catalogue of classic fights, athlete features and a slate of original programming including 40 Days, Saturday Fight Live and One Night. More live sports and sports content will be added to the global service from 2021.
