Netflix’s new titles in December are already generating Oscar buzz.

The streaming giant, which could set a record for best picture nominations, will release David Fincher’s “Mank” on Dec. 4 with Gary Oldman, Amanda Seyfried and Lily Collins, along with “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom” on Dec. 18, starring the late Chadwick Boseman and Viola Davis in a musical drama about the iconic blues singer. On Dec. 23, Netflix will debut George Clooney-led sci-fi drama “The Midnight Sky.”

December will also bring Shonda Rhimes-led production company Shondaland’s “Bridgerton,” a romantic period drama series set in Regency-era England.

Other notable titles coming to Netflix this month include the fourth season of the animated series about puberty “Big Mouth” and the final season of Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s teen witch drama “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
