Kovind congratulates people of Nagaland on its Statehood Day

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday greeted the people of Nagaland on its 58th Statehood Day.

In his congratulatory message, Mr Kovind said through a tweet, "Greetings to the people of Nagaland on statehood day."

He said, "Nagaland offers a unique blend of heritage, culture and natural beauty. May the state scale new heights of progress in the coming years.."

One of the North-East states in India, Nagaland became the 16th state of India on December 1, 1963.
