Medical fraternity condoles Covid warrior

Imphal, November 30 2020: A condolence meeting over the demise of Dr Athokpam Naranbabu, senior consultant of Department of Pediatrics, Raj Medicity was held at the Multipurpose hall of the hospital today.

Dr Naranbabu passed away after testing positive for COVID-19 and he is reportedly the fifth doctor of Manipur to have fallen to the virus.

The members present expressed deep sorrow and grief at the death of Dr Naranbabu who was a fine gentleman, a good paediatrician and also remembered his contribution towards the progress of Paediatrics Department in the hospital.

A two minute silence was observed in respect of the departed soul and prayed to the Almighty so that his soul may rest in peace.

The members also shared the sorrow and grief of the bereaved family.

Similarly another condolence meeting was held at Mother's Care Children Hospital and Research Centre, Imphal which was attended by consultants, PG students and staff of the hospital who paid respect to the departed soul by observing two minutes silence.

A letter of condolence to the bereaved family was also drafted.
