Tech in APAC - November 2020
Welcome to our last edition of Tech in APAC for the year.
One of our key stories in November was a piece we did on Snowflake, which made its debut in September on Wall Street as the biggest software IPO on record. The cloud data warehouse supplier set foot in APAC through Australia just three years ago and has started to gain traction among large enterprises in Singapore, India and Southeast Asia.
In an interview with Computer Weekly, Geoff Soon, Snowflake’s managing director for South Asia, outlines the company’s growth strategy in the region, its relationship with hyper-scale cloud providers and how it cracked the enterprise segment which had been resistant to cloud-based data platforms.
In the following Loom video, check out our take on the story and more. Please tell us what you think in the comments and have a great week ahead.
