Vrio, the subsidiary of AT&T controlling Sky Brasil, has launched the DirecTV Go OTT streaming service in Brazil, providing linear and on-demand video content on any connected device. Over 90 channels are available on the subscription TV service, which works with any broadband connection.
The basic package comes with 70 TV channels for BRL 59.90 per month, including all the main national TV channels as well as the main pay-TV channels. Customers can purchase extra packages such as Premiere, Telecine, Fox Premium and HBO, with the latter (also owned by AT&T) free for the first five years for customers who subscribe in December.
The DirecTV Go service can be contracted only online and the first seven days of use are free of charge.
