President, VP condole RS MP Abhay Bharadwaj's death

President, VP condole RS MP Abhay Bharadwaj's death

New Delhi, Dec 1 (UNI) President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Tuesday expressed anguish over the death of BJP MP from Rajya Sabha Abhay Bharadwaj at a Chennai hospital, due to COVID-related complications.

The President, in a message here, said 'Grieved by the demise of Abhay Bharadwaj, Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat. He was an eminent lawyer and had an unwavering commitment to social upliftment and development. Condolences to his family, friends and well-wishers.'

In a condolence message, Mr Naidu said the MP from Gujarat 'was a distinguished lawyer and always championed the cause of the people.'

He extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
