Sergio Lobera After the Match

"I am very happy. Three very important points for us. But we need to improve a lot of things and that is my job.

"Ogbeche is a big player, very good player and person. We have become a family in these times. Ogbeche can help us a lot on and off the pitch. It is a problem as a coach to have so many players and choose the best XI. I am very happy to have players like him."

21:50 (IST)

Robbie Fowler is Dejected After the Loss

"We still learning, we are new. A lot of players can do better. We are showing glimpses. Individual mistakes cost us. Silly mistakes, the players are giving the ball away. We have got to learn quicker.

"I am devastated myself. I hope the players are as much as me. We have a game in 4-5 days and keep the heads up. Several Indian players look like they have never been coached before, in all honesty. We have to be better.

"It is what it is. We have this squad. We have done so much work in trying to get players. Individual can cost you, we know that. When you do that against quality opposition, you get punished. We will just try to lift the players."

21:47 (IST)

Adam Le Fondre's Words After the Match

"I scored two goals. I have got a good record against Robbie's team when he was in Australia in Brisbane.

"I have played all my career at No.9. I am known to get into the box. Great work by Hugo and I just finished that. Delighted to be able to finish those kind of moves."

21:44 (IST)

What Hugo Boumous Said

"Tonight was amazing. We played well, we scored three goals and kept a clean sheet. It's a great night for us.

"Both (like scoring and assisting). It is about the team.

"Hopefully (will score a goal). First we get the three points. We have to recover quickly and look at the next game. We have a lot to work on still."

ISL 2020-21 FULL COVERAGE |  ISL 2020-21 SCHEDULE  | ISL 2020-21 POINTS TABLE

Mumbai City FC are now joint-on top of the ISL points table after recording six points from three matches. ATK Mohun Bagan are also top with six points from two games. East Bengal, on the other hand, remain at the foot of the table with no points after playing two of their fixtures.

After securing their first win of the season, Mumbai City FC will be keen to build on the momentum. The Islanders have dominated possession in both their matches, however, they have struggled to score. They have registered just one goal so far, joint least among teams who have played two matches. The Adam Le Fondre-Hugo Boumous pair will once again be key for Mumbai's attack. It remains to be seen though if Bartholomew Ogbeche gets his place in the starting XI.

Robbie Fowler's side also dominated possession in their first game and their former Norwich City winger Anthony Pilkington looked threatening in the midfield. It was lack of finishing prowess with Balwant Singh upfront that proved costly for them. Apart from Pilkington, Matti Steinmann looked strong in passes and held possession for long and even Surchandra Singh and Loken Meetei looked promising. The forward line will need to convert their chances when they clash against the Sergio Lobera-outfit.
