
South Africa recorded 38 more Covid-19-related deaths by Sunday, bringing the death toll to 21 477.
Of the 38 deaths, 17 were recorded in the Eastern Cape, one in Gauteng, seven in the Northern Cape and 13 in the Western Cape.
"We extend our condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thank the healthcare workers who treated the deceased patients," Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said in a statement on Sunday evening.

The cumulative total of Covid-19 cases in SA is 787 702 with 2 563 new cases identified since the last report. Recoveries are at 730 633.
