I have been lucky! I have worked with all the prime television channels and it has been an amazing journey.
What made you shift from acting to DJ-ing?
It is not about shifting from acting to DJ-ing. I wanted to do things beyond the end goal. I got an opportunity to perform with DJ Snake, Vini Vici at the Sunburn music festival. I did an all-India tour with Guru Randhawa. Performing live in front of 20,000 people was crazy. All this wouldn’t be possible as a television actor. I wanted to explore the entertainment industry beyond television.
What do you love about DJ-ing?
What I love the most about being a DJ is that I can control the crowd. I can spread love and happiness to all the people who are there to have fun.
Tell us about your new offering, Tabaahi 2.
Tabaahi is something my friends called me when I first started DJ-ing. Because I’ve been lucky to get numerous gigs and I thought “why not call an album- Tabaahi” and that’s when Tabaahi 1 happened, which was well appreciated. Tabaahi 2 is going to be a number of hot Punjabi tracks with today’s sound.
Fitness, fashion and grooming guru... How did that happen?
As I said, in life you have to keep expanding your interests. Fashion is something I’ve always been connected to. I’ve hosted India Beach Fashion Week and Dubai Fashion League. Regarding fitness, I did a 100-day challenge and ended up getting all eight abs in 100 days with good discipline. My agency, Aregeebee Talents, came up with the idea of entering the fashion segment, which I found really exciting. So, we went for it.
What is your personal style definition?
Personally, I would define my style as—wearing something I am comfortable in, depending on the occasion and play with colours. Be as cool and classy as you can, and always consider your comfort.
What tips would you like to share with men regarding fashion?
Tips that I want to share regarding fashion would be—keep things minimal and cool, as per the occasion and weather. Like don’t wear jackets on a hot day and don’t wear lose shirts to important meetings.
What changes do you see in yourself post Covid-19?
I am more clear and confident now. I have worked really hard on my music and myself. I have innovated many things and have prepared for a lot of songs and music for the next year or so.
