The Serum Institute of India (CII) on Sunday issued a statement regarding a participant involved in the Kovid vaccine trial. It stated that there is no connection between the vaccine test and the participant's medical condition. Indeed, one participant involved in the trial stated that he fell seriously ill during the trial. Let us know that CII is testing the Kovidshield vaccine prepared by Oxford University and AstraZeneca.

The CII, in a legal notice sent by the participant's family, termed the allegations against the company as malicious and false. The CII statement said the company was concerned about the participant's medical condition but was falsely blaming the vaccine test for its medical problems.

The statement said the medical team had already informed the participant that his medical problem had nothing to do with the vaccine test. Despite this, the company alleged that the public statement of the participant was meant to make money. It said that in an attempt to tarnish the company's image, it could demand compensation of Rs 100 crore from the contestant.

However, the Serum Institute statement did not say anything about why the company itself did not report any adverse events during the test. The Drugs Controller General of India and the Institutional Ethics Committee are investigating whether the vaccine given to the participant was adversely affected due to the dose or whether there was any other reason.

Significantly, a 40-year-old man, who was tested by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca for Corona vaccine on October 1, started having brain problems ten days later. He refused to recognize his wife and children.

The family has sent a notice to the Director-General of ICMR, Serum Institute of India, Drug Controller Dean, questioning the trial, demanding compensation of Rs five crore for mental physical damage and future treatment.
