2 women booked for impersonation

Ludhiana: Two women were booked on the impersonation charges as they allegedly appeared in the ETT exam in place of a candidate. Col Amarjit Singh, controller of the meritorious centre, said the accused had claimed themselves to be Kirna Rani from Jalalabad and both had the same roll number and Aadhaar card. He said both of them were not stopped from taking the exam and after the paper was over, the police approached them. SHO Jarnail Singh said Asha Rani of Faridkot and Kirna Rani of Jalalabad were allegedly appearing on the behalf of one Kirna in the exam. The SHO said both were cousins and did not coordinate before coming to the exam centre. TNS
