Safaricom Blaze Stages a Two-Day Digital Career Fair for the Youth

Blaze, the Safaricom arm that targets young people with a series of discounted products and services is hosting a two-day career and skills fair for the youth aged between 18 and 26 years.

This is the first time that Blaze is staging the show, which looks forward to engaging, education and empowering young people across the country.

The fair is focusing on career development, entrepreneurial skills, personal development and networking skills.


Attendees will get a chance to engage and learn from various professionals and Safaricom employees including outgoing Chief Enterprise Officer Rita Okuthe, Chairperson of Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) Ltd, Dr. Caroline Vundi of Nairobi Hospital and Dr. Kagonyi Awori, afro-centric designer and researcher, among others members.

According to the operator, the program is part of the Twende Tukiuke campaign, and it seeks to challenge the youth to go beyond what is thought possible and achieve their dreams. 

The career fair will be streamed live on Blaze Kenya’s Facebook, YouTube and Twitter pages and is designed for youth who are starting their careers, looking to upskill themselves, make career shifts, venture into entrepreneurship or position themselves for a digital workplace.

The fair will be centred on key topics such as Entrepreneurship, Personal Branding, Mental Health, Data Science, Women in Technology and The Future of Work.
