UK based Select Plant Hire has taken delivery of three Liebherr LTR telescopic crawler cranes, a 60 tonne LTR 1060, 100 tonne LTR 1100 and 220 tonne LTR 1220, all with the latest Stage V diesel power units.
Select already runs a significant number of Liebherr telescopic crawlers in its 66 strong crawler crane fleet, and is looking to add more units that meet the lower emission level, increasingly required within major cities, it took eight such LTR units at the end of last year see: Eight new crawler cranes for Select
The LTR 1060 is equipped with a 40 metre main boom, a 2.5 metre assembly jib and a 9.5 to 16 metres bi-fold swingaway extension to provide a maximum tip height of almost 59 metres, while the LTR 1100 has a 52 metre main boom and a 10.6 to 18.9 metre bi-fold extension, finally the LTR 1220 features a 60 metre main boom plus 12.2 to 22.2 metre swing-away, which can be extended with two seven metre lattice sections.
Select Plant Hire is the specialist equipment rental division of British contractor Laing O’Rourke and operates from locations across the country. The new cranes are part of a significant investment in new equipment as Select continue to look to provide their customers with the most modern equipment possible.
