Jagoi Marup remembers Guru Babu

Imphal, November 29 2020: The Manipur Jagoi Marup, one of the premiere dance institutes of the country today fondly remembered Guru Thingbaijam Babu Singh, Padmashri Awardee and former director of the Marup on his 12th death anniversary.

Floral tributes to the portrait of Guru Babu and presentation of Manipuri classical dance numbers composed by Guru babu and Guru Amubi were the main highlights of the observance held at Golden Jubilee stage of the Jagoi Marup.

Director in-charge of JNMDA, Principal of Government Dance College, and president Manipuri Jagoi Marup, Ng Amumacha, disciples of Guru babu, members and "artistes of the Marup attended the observance.
