2 die, 96 contract virus in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, November 29

Two persons died of Covid in the city during the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 276. Besides, 96 more persons tested positive for the virus. The infection tally now stands at 17,342.

A 57-year-old man from Sector 19, a case of diabetes, died at the PGI. A 70-year-old woman from Sector 35, a case of chronic lung disease, breathed her last at Command Hospital, Panchkula.

As many as 69 more patients have defeated the virus. The number of recoveries recorded in the city is 15,926. —TNS
