NEW DELHI: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu will chair the first Council of Heads of Government (CHG) summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) to be hosted by India on Monday. The meeting has been converted into a virtual format due to the pandemic and will see focused discussions on the various vaccines being developed by three SCO countries — India, Russia and China. The SCO CHG is also expected to take note on the move initiated by India, Pakistan, South Africa and other developing counties at the WTO to seek relaxation of the IPR laws to help in easy distribution of vaccines. — TNS
