CRPF officer dies in south Kashmir’s Kulgam

Srinagar, Nov 30 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Sub Inspector (SI), who was on duty, died under mysterious circumstances in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said here on Monday.



They said an SI, identified as Shabad Kumar of the 93rd CRPF Battalion, was found unconscious while he was on duty at DK Marg Higher Secondary School in Kulgam at around 0030 hrs on Monday. “Kumar was immediately taken to a local hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” they said.



They said the exact cause of the death was not immediately known. “The cause of the death of the CRPF officer will be known after the postmortem report comes in,” they said, adding police has registered a case and initiated investigation.

Jammu, Nov 30 (UNI) Acting tough on the employees who show non-seriousness towards compliance of Modal code of conduct, Doda Additional Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Nodal officer for MCC implementation in the district has suspended two government employees of RDD, served a show-cause notice to Lambardar, one BDC Chairman and one contesting candidate, besides initiated action against 4 VDC members for violation of Model Code of Conduct guidelines in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
