The Best Cyber Monday Deals If You Work From Home

If you’re lucky enough to work from home, it’s a good idea to spruce up your space to make it a more productive work environment. That includes using noise-canceling headphones to drown out the kids, using a monitor or laptop stand so you don't crane your neck, and maybe even getting a desk. We've tested a lot of home office gear, and quite a lot of it is on sale for Cyber Monday. These are our favorites.

Amazon (Click the Coupon Button), FlexiSpot

This model is a little different from the FlexiSpot I tested and really like. The chipboard top isn't as customizable and it lacks height presets (there's just an up and down button to adjust it), but considering it's just $200, those sacrifices are well worth it. Seriously, if a standing desk always seemed out of reach because of the price, this is the one to get. FlexiSpot also has discounted another similar model to $230 ($70 off) that offers very little customization and no presets, except it claims it takes just 5 minutes to put the whole thing together.

Fully

This is one of the lowest prices we've seen on Fully's standing desk. It's a favorite among several WIRED staffers. You can quickly adjust the height by pressing a button, and the motor will do the rest. You get four height presets, a bamboo top that looks and feels great, and a variety of customization options so you can personalize it to your liking (just know that many of these tweaks will add to the price). Fully's Jarvis EcoTop Standing Desk is also on sale, and is slightly cheaper at $441 ($78 off). Instead of bamboo, the top uses a locally sourced fiber from Oregon that's 92 percent pre-consumer, recycled, or recovered.

Staples, Amazon, Target)

This is WIRED reviews editor Jeffrey Van Camp's chair—the one he chose after sitting on dozens of chairs at various big-box stores in the Before Times. The mesh allows for good airflow, and the headrest and lumbar support give your back and neck a break. If your budget is tighter, Jeffrey also recommends the Staples Ardfield, which has been discounted to $60 ($70 off). It's not a chair that'll last forever, but it's a good, affordable pick with mild lumbar support. Both of these prices are even lower than what we saw on Amazon Prime Day.

X-Chair

This is a small discount, but this is one of my favorite chairs. The mesh fabric manages heat very well, so you never feel too hot or sweaty sitting in it. There's lumbar support that shifts as your body moves so it's always supporting your back, and the arm rests are quite adjustable. You can add a headrest, but I recommend skipping it to save money.

Amazon, Best Buy

This mechanical keyboard is in our Best Keyboards guide. You can see the switches on each key; they're illuminated by customizable RGB lighting. Don't be put off by these crazy colors though. You don't need to be a gamer to use a colorful mechanical keyboard (you can also turn off the lighting if you don't like it). The switches are responsive, tactile, and loud, plus a palm rest is included.

Best Buy, Newegg

If the Roccat above is too flashy, this Logitech will suit you well. The all-black design offers a low profile, but you still get RGB backlit keys if you want, and the large size means you get a NumPad. It comes with a plush palm rest, and GX Blue switches for a clicky typing experience.

Amazon, Microsoft ($40)

Mechanical keyboards aren't for everyone. Sometimes you just want to type without much audible or tactile feedback. We get it. This Bluetooth option from Microsoft should suffice. It's large and spacious, lasts up to two years with two AAA batteries (included), and there are dedicated emoji and Office 365 keys. Unfortunately, there's no Print Screen button for easy screenshots (you should still be able to use Fn + Windows logo key + Space Bar to snap one).

Amazon, Target

You get all the usual bells and whistles with this mouse, including four buttons and a clickable scroll wheel. Roccat's Titan switches offer a surprisingly tactile click, according to WIRED reviewer Jess Grey, but I like its sci-fi aesthetic.

Amazon, Best Buy

This is another all-around capable mouse that was already affordable. It's on the smaller end (and lightweight), but you still get the usual two buttons on the left side plus a scroll wheel. It's wired so you don't have to worry about swapping out batteries, and you still get a high-quality sensor with excellent tracking. You can customize the RGB lights on the mouse through Logitech's G Hub software, and map the keys to something specific.

Monitor Deals

Amazon ($327), Adorama, Best Buy

Trust me, you need an ultrawide. It gives you a lot more room for multitasking. I can have a spreadsheet on one side of the screen and a Chrome tab on the right to reference something else. Or two Chrome tabs side by side. This one from LG has a 2,560 x 1,080 pixel resolution, is VESA mountable if you want to put it on a monitor mount, and uses an IPS panel for nice colors and good viewing angles.

Amazon ($356), Dell

This Dell isn't as big as the ultrawide, but the 27-inch screen is still large compared to most traditional monitors. You get a slim profile, a sharper 1440 pixel resolution, plus VESA mounting support. There are multiple DisplayPort and HDMI ports, and you can even swivel it into a portrait orientation in case you want to use it as a second monitor.

Best Buy

If you just want a reasonably small monitor that won't take up too much desk space, this 24-inch Samsung should do the trick. For $90, you get an IPS LED panel with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, and a 75-Hz refresh rate that should help games look a little smoother (if your computer is powerful enough). There is no internal speaker here, but you can mount it if you want to clear even more desk space and get rid of the stand.

Best Buy

This VESA-mountable monitor is a step up from the one above and best suited for folks who play video games. It has a higher 144-Hz refresh rate, so if your computer is powerful enough, games will look and feel more fluid and responsive. The 1-millisecond response time means the screen shifts colors incredibly quickly. The screen itself is large at 27 inches, and while the 1920 x 1080 screen resolution won't dazzle, the IPS quality should still produce good colors. There are built-in speakers, but they likely won't sound very good (which is the case with most speakers in monitors).

Monoprice

Get rid of those pesky monitor stands! I did and it freed up a lot of room on my desk. I have the single monitor version of this VESA mount from Monoprice, and it allows me to easily adjust my monitor to whatever height or angle I want. This is the dual-monitor version if you have two big screens (up to 34 inches). If you have smaller monitors (27 inches or under), there's a dual-monitor mount you can get. And if you only have one monitor, Monoprice's single-arm mount will serve you well, but it's not discounted.

Amazon, Target, Best Buy, Adorama

The Sony WH-1000XM4 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are our favorite wireless headphones. You get excellent noise-canceling tech, a brilliant soundstage, and 30 hours of battery life for a winning combo. Sony has also improved the microphones on this model to improve call quality, so you won't have to worry about how you sound on Zoom calls. These have dipped to this price before during Prime Day but considering they only launched in August, it's still an excellent price.

The Sony headphones above are our favorite wireless headphones and the ColorBuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are our favorite wireless earbuds. They have a comfortable, near-universal fit, great sound, and six hours of AirPods Pro-beating battery life (plus an extra 16 hours with the case). The almost perfect seal they create helps block out ambient noise too. Remember, you're getting all this for less than $100. It's a great value. (This deal is only visible on Amazon if you have a Prime subscription.)

Beats headphones actually sound great now, and the Solo Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are some of our favorites. The noise-canceling tech blocks out sounds around you, and you can talk to Siri or Google Assistant through them. They're comfortable, fold up for easy stowing, and the controls are simple. The battery life runs for 40 hours without noise-canceling (22 with it on). Our main gripe? They charge via Lightning, which may not be a problem for you if you use an iPhone or iPad.

If you're tired of using headphones all day, get a good pair of speakers. Sure, you can get models much cheaper with passable audio quality, but these Audioengine stereo speakers will blow them out the water. You can connect a subwoofer to beef up the bass too. They're attractive, have a relatively small footprint, and they're wireless—no need to fuss with cables. Just connect 'em to your computer via Bluetooth (or use the included cable for a wired connection).

Microsoft Store, Amazon, Best Buy

Specs: Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD

This is a laptop-tablet hybrid, but it's one of our favorites. With these specs, the Surface Pro 7 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is powerful enough for most tasks, and the keyboard and sleeve are included in this deal. Grab the Surface Pen if you want to doodle or take notes in tablet mode.

Specs: Intel Core m3, 4+ GB RAM, 64 GB SSD

If you almost exclusively use Google's Chrome browser for all your needs, then consider a Chromebook. They're a great deal more affordable, and this is the top pick in our Best Chromebooks guide. WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson says it strikes the best balance between price, power, and features. The 14-inch 1080p screen is bright, the battery lasts all day, and it's speedy enough for lightweight tasks.

This is in our Best Laptop Stands guide. It's slim and sticks to the underside of your laptop, so it's always present and allows you to raise your laptop's keyboard to two different heights. It fits up to a 15.6-inch laptop, so it should be large enough for most. There are multiple colors and styles to choose from, but the deals vary on what you choose.

It's near impossible for me to start the day without a cup of coffee. I've been using Atlas Coffee Club for the past two years to get fresh coffee beans from various countries around the world. The deal is available only on the white version. This small power adapter packs a lot of power. It's enough to recharge your MacBook, or you can use it to juice up two smartphones quickly. The 100-W version is also on sale for $37 ($13 off) if you need to recharge your laptop and smartphone at the same time (use 2LP4P4WH and clip the coupon).

Vistaprint

At the end of each year, my partner and I choose 12 photos that best encapsulate the past 12 months and create a custom calendar for the following year through Vistaprint. We get the large version to hang up on our wall, which is still affordable at $22 ($23 off). It’s roomy enough for me to pencil in upcoming work and life events as the new year rolls on. Plus, I get reminded of a fun memory from the year before. There are small and medium size options, and different framing styles if you want something extra snazzy. Just make sure the photos you upload have a high pixel resolution.

Nomad

Tired of using a tattered cable? This Kevlar braided cable from Nomad can help. It's not flimsy at all, and there's an integrated cable tie to keep things organized. It comes in 1.5 or 3-meter sizes, and you can also get the same cable as USB-C to Lightning if you want to charge your iPhone or iPad.

The pandemic is not a new thing anymore, but webcams are still tough to find in stock (or for reasonable prices). I've been using this one for most of the year and it does the job. Colors are muted and the quality isn't anything to write home about, but it stays put on top of my monitor, and it's easy to adjust the angle. There's no privacy shutter, but I just point it in a different direction when I'm done using it.

On video calls often? The lighting in my small apartment isn't great, so I sometimes use this panel to illuminate my face and avoid looking like a blotchy, noisy mess. Pair it with mini tripod and watch as your video quality on Zoom immediately improves (webcams like lots of light). The Lume Panel's battery doesn't last long—around an hour and a half—but it's enough for most of us that aren't on nonstop Zoom marathons. The Boling P1 is an upgrade pick that's also on sale for $119 ($30 off). I use it when I film videos, but it works for meetings too. The light is of better quality, it gets brighter, and the battery lasts a lot longer.

Nomad

This is still an expensive wireless charger, but it's one of the best because you don't have to worry about placing your phone just right. Just plop it and forget it. It uses new wireless charging technology that lets you place your phone or earbuds case anywhere on the mat to charge. You can read more about it here.

You don't need a Google Pixel phone to use this wireless charger. Any smartphone with wireless charging will work (including iPhones). I like Google's charger a lot because it's simple—the rubber base never slides around, and it holds the multiple phones I test with no issue no matter the size. There's only one tiny LED at the base to indicate the phone is charging, but it doesn't get bright enough to distract me at bedtime even in a dark room.

Oakywood

This isn't just a fancy stand for your headphones. It's also a wireless charger! It's been one of my favorite desk accessories of late. It looks attractive—I really like the design of the solid wood base, which is also where you'll plop your phone down to charge (if it supports wireless charging). The whole thing is fairly sturdy, so even if your hand bumps into it your headphones won't fall off. You can save an extra 5 percent if you buy two, and an extra 10 percent if you buy three of them.

I have a dog, so I have to regularly vacuum my apartment or it'll turn into floof central. But vacuuming is the last thing I want to do after cranking out words on my computer all day. That's why I got a robot vacuum. It runs every day while I work and significantly reduces the amount of pet hair and dust in my home, so I don't have to clean as often. This Shark model is the top pick in our Best Robot Vacuums guide. It has a self-emptying bin, so the vacuum returns to the base to empty itself before resuming its duties.

Got kids? Have them watch their favorite show with these headphones so you don’t have to hear it for the umpteenth time as you work. They limit sound to doctor-approved 85 decibels, and they’re durable.
