Robbers’ gang busted, 5 held

Bathinda: The Mansa Police have arrested five members of a robbers' gang and recovered one country-made pistol, one air pistol, four motorcycles, eight mobile phones, one sword, a water pump handle and some cash from their possession. Mansa SSP Surendra Lamba said busting of the gang would assist in tracing many robbery cases. TNS

Cash reward hiked

Faridkot: Sports and Youth Services Minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi on Saturday announced that the cash reward for Maharaja Ranjit Singh Award would be increased to Rs 5 lakh, said Rana Sodhi after presiding over meeting of the District Grievance Redressal Committee, Faridkot. OC
