Neymar reaches milestone as misfiring PSG held by Bordeaux

Paris, Nov 29 (Xinhua) Brazilian star Neymar scored his 50th goal in Ligue 1, but table-topping Paris Saint-Germain suffered another blow in the league on Saturday by drawing 2-2 with a tricky Bordeaux side at home, four days before its crucial Champions League clash at Manchester United.
Neymar won and converted a penalty in the 27th minute to equalize for the hosts after debutant Timothee Pembele's 10th-minute own goal put Bordeaux ahead.
It took only 58 matches for the 28-year-old forward to reach the 50-goal milestone in Ligue 1, beating former PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic's 58th-game record to become the quickest player to achieve the feat in the French top flight.
Moise Kean scored only two minutes later to put PSG in front, but Yacine Adli, a PSG youth academy graduate, fired a superb goal in the 60th minute to make his former club hang on for a 2-2 draw at the Parc des Princes.
"If we don't improve, it's going to be difficult for us in the league and in the Champions League," Neymar told Canal Plus after the match.
Thomas Tuchel's side wasted a two-goal lead last week at Monaco and conceded a 3-2 defeat to losing its third game in the first 11 Ligue 1 games this season, the most at this stage of a season since the Qatari take over the club in 2011.
PSG's setback on Saturday also means that the second-placed Lille is gifted a chance to move level on points with PSG when it travels to Saint-Etienne on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, last year's runner-up Marseille cruised past Nantes 3-1 to win its fourth consecutive league game. The victory also lifts Andre Villas-Boas' side to third place in the standings, four points off PSG but with two games in hand.
Florian Thauvin and Dimitri Payet scored to put Marseille two goals ahead before the break as Dario Benedetto's penalty in the 60th minute made it three before Ludovic Blas pulled one for Nantes in the 73rd.
Marseille was bouncing back from a humiliating performance in the Champions League as it lost to Porto 2-0 on Wednesday, setting a record of the tournament for 13 straight defeats.
Nice, whose previous-round match was postponed due to an outbreak of coronavirus within the squad, has recovered from the health crisis and will host bottom side Dijon on Sunday, while fourth-ranked Lyon plays Stade Reims at home.
