COVID-19: HP records 1026 new cases, 12 deaths

Shimla, Nov 29 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh on Sunday registered the highest spike in Novel Coronavirus cases as 1026 people tested positive and 12 people died of the global pandemic in the state.

Nodal officer and Secretary of Health Amitav Awasthi said as many as 1026 people tested positive for nCoV as 398 people were found positive in Shimla, 161 in Mandi, 120 in Kullu, 81 in Solan, 79 in Kangra, 45 in Bilaspur, 41 in Una, 36 in Hamirpur, 33 in Kinnaur, 17 in Lahaul Spiti, 10 in Chamba and five in Sirmaur districts.

The death toll rose to 625 with 12 deaths in the state on Sunday, as three people each died in Kullu and Mandi, two each in Shimla and Kangra, and one each in Chamba and Hamirpur.

The death toll increased to 164 in Shimla, 124 in Kangra, 80 in Mandi, 66 in Kullu, 52 in Solan, 26 Hamirpur, 32 Chamba, 23 in Una, 21 Sirmaur, 16 Bilaspur, 12 Kinnaur and nine in Lahaul Spiti.

Total cases increased to 400003 in the state, including 8644 active cases and 39693 recoveries.

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Sunday that cultivators will be supplied ten hours’ seamless electricity in shifts – during the daytime for a week and in the nights throughout the next.
Official sources said that the senior politician reached Sehore District’s Shahganj and interacted directly with peasants at a programme on the Municipal Council premises.
