The Best Cyber Monday Deals on Pandemic Supplies

As “Stuff People,” we on the WIRED Gear team are obsessed with things—what do you need, how much should it cost, and where should you get it? As the Covid-19 pandemic took hold earlier this year, we watched in amazement as the rest of you became Stuff People too. You need to wear a mask at all times in public—where do you find one? Do air purifiers or fans help ward off infection? How about a humidifier?

WIRED's managing digital producer, Kim Chua, loves these face masks. (Here are more of our favorite masks.) They come in several eye-catching designs, and they're not too expensive. They have an inner pocket so you can add disposable filters, and they're machine washable.

We like these masks so much that we included them in not only our Best Face Masks guide, but also our 2020 Wish List. Buy the size that fits, use the head tie to adjust the fit, and cut off the excess strap for comfort.

We also like Baggu's reusable masks, which were comfortable enough to sleep in when a WIRED staffer's parent got Covid-19. There are fun designs here, but they're selling out fast. You'll see the discount at checkout. Baggu is also having a 25 percent off sale sitewide through Cyber Monday.

This pack of face masks fell to the same price on Amazon Prime Day. Disposable face masks are not the most environmentally friendly option—we do recommend investing in some reusable masks—but these are lightweight and effective. They're a good option if you're prone to dreaded mascne.

We are genuinely shocked by how well made and durable these masks are for the price. Right now, they're less than $3 per mask, and the double-layered cotton (with a filter pocket) is thick enough to block light and, hopefully, any infectious respiratory particles.

Cleaning and Medical Device Deals

Don't panic—you don't need to frantically sterilize everything nearby as we did in the spring. Still, it can't hurt to clean your hands and keep high-traffic areas wiped down. These may help.

Amazon will apply additional coupon savings at checkout. If you don't want to make your own hand sanitizer and you're tired of vodka-scented mass-produced sanitizer, this deal might be up your alley.

This thermometer usually costs between $30 and $50. It uses an infrared beam to give a body temperature reading in just one second, so you won't have to deal with probing under a sick kid's tongue.

Click the on-page coupon to get this deal. We don't love that this product requires an app, but if you're OK with pairing it to your phone and sharing your temperature data, the price is good. The app allows you to track your data over time, so you can see if your temperature is trending higher or lower.

Cleancult

Cleancult makes some of our favorite sustainable cleaning products. The products are plant-based, smell fantastic, and are much more eco-friendly than buying new plastic bottles every few months.

Hero Cosmetics

Are you fighting a persistent case of mascne? Mighty Patches are the superior pimple patch (it shrinks whiteheads overnight), and during Black Friday all the options are 20 percent off. The Originals are best for most people, but there are large patches, an extra invisible option, and a variety pack.

ZitSticka (Enter WEIRDYEAR25 at Checkout)

Frankly, ZitSticka is far too expensive for the amount of product you’re getting—eight patches and five masks in these kits. But they are nice. The patches have microdarts for those deep, cystic pimples that far outstay their welcome. The Press Refresh masks are made of cooling hydrogel, and did actually calm a full-cheek breakout that I (Medea) recently had.

Best Buy, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond

There's some evidence that improving air quality and circulation can help reduce your risk of infection. This air purifier has a small footprint, excellent purification performance, and doubles as a heater for when the temperatures drop.

Molekule, Amazon

Molekule uses patented PECO technology to destroy pollutants, rather than filtering them out like traditional air purifiers. It's a little difficult for the layperson to know how much more effective PECO is than filtering. As measured by an air quality monitor, it seems to work just as well. Still, the Air Mini is stylish and has a small footprint.

Theragun

This is not the safest time to book a massage. All Theragun devices are discounted right now. We liked all of them in our testing, but the Elite is our favorite. It's the quietest, comes with five attachment heads, and uses 40 pounds of pressure to soothe sore muscles.

Crave's wearable vibrator necklace works well and looks great. It made our list of the Best Sex Tech and Toys. We also like the Duet Pro—its customization settings don't require sharing sensitive data with an app.
