Drug peddler arrested in Pulwama

Srinagar, Nov 29 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said this evening.
He said a check point was established by police at Reshipora Bund Awantipora in Pulwama during which one person identified as Umar Qadir Dar, a resident of Natipora Chanapora in Srinagar was intercepted. During the his search police recovered 4kg of charas from him.
Dar has been arrested and lodged in police station Awantipora, he said adding a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been initiated.
"Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace," the spokesperson added.

Jammu, Nov 29 (UNI) Shortly after the recent signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoU’s) between Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and Mission Youth, J&K, a meeting was co-chaired on Sunday by Chairman, BSE Institute Ambarish Datta and CEO, Mission Youth and Mission Director, J&K Skill Development Mission Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah to discuss the implementation of various skill development trainings to be undertaken under Banking Financial Services Insurance (BFSI) sector in J&K for the youth of J&K.

Hamirpur reports fresh 36 nCoV cases, one death

Hamirpur (HP), Nov 29 (UNI) Hamirpur district on Sunday reported 36 new cases of novel coronavirus while one corona-related death was also recorded.
With the death of one person, 70, hailed from Lagmanwin village of the district, the total number of deaths in the district increased to 26.
