War against COVID-19: MP’s body count rises to 3,250

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) The fatality figure owing to the ‘millennium scourge’ mounted to 3,250 on Sunday in Madhya Pradesh where 13 fresh demises were reported even as the infected tally touched 2,04,745 with 1,514 more sufferers being detected during analysis of 31,754 specimens.
A Health Services Directorate bulletin pegged the active cases at 14,974 – a summation of statistics that are of late on the upward spiral in all 52 districts. Indore continued to have the dubious distinction of spawning the highest 536 new instances, Bhopal 339, Gwalior 70, Jabalpur 63, Khargone 31, Vidisha and Dewas 28 each, Ratlam 26, Sagar 25, Guna 12, etc.
The silver lining is that 1,86,521 individuals recuperated; 1,508 of them on this very day.

Jalandhar, Nov 29 (UNI) With the COVID-19 cases mounting again in the district, the administration on Sunday pulled up its socks to counter the second phase of the global pandemic.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Vishesh Sarangal reviewed the COVID-19 preparedness at Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Civil Hospital for the level-II and level-III patients, amid the apprehensions of COVID's second wave.

Police solves snatching incident that led to death of woman

Jalandhar, Nov 29 (UNI) The Commissionerate Police have arrested three persons involved in the snatching of a purse containing Rs 2.5 lakh and other accessories from a woman, who fell down from the bike during the incident, leading to serious head injuries and subsequent death.

Bhopal, Nov 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan assured on Sunday that cultivators will be supplied ten hours’ seamless electricity in shifts – during the daytime for a week and in the nights throughout the next.
Official sources said that the senior politician reached Sehore District’s Shahganj and interacted directly with peasants at a programme on the Municipal Council premises.
