AMDRS welcomes move to introduce Sanskrit

The All Manipur Dharma Raksha Samiti (AMDRS) has welcomed the announcement that Sanskrit subject will be introduced in the curricula of selected schools and colleges in the State.
In a statement, AMDRS said that Sanskrit is one of the most advanced and scientific languages studied across the globe.
It stated that effort being made by some groups to depict this initiative of the Government in a bad light is very unfortunate.
Meanwhile, the association also appealed to the State Government to consider adding a chapter on first aid to the school curriculum.
