National capital clocks a fresh spike of 4,998 COVID cases

New Delhi, Nov 28 (UNI) National capital on Saturday clocked 4,998 fresh cases of COVID 19, pushing city's tally to 5,61,742, the state health bulletin said here.

According to the government data, 89 more lives were lost to the virus spread in the past 24 hours, taking the city's COVID death count till date to 8,998.

Meanwhile, since Friday, 6,512 COVID patients were cured, taking the national capital's recovery count so far to 5,16,166.

Talking of the active case load on the city, presently the city houses 36,578 such cases, while 22,349 patients with no or mild symptoms are under the home isolation.

Containment zones across the city have now reached 5,331 as on Saturday.

Based on the past 10 days data, the death rate presently stands at 1.80 per cent, the health bulletin said.

During the past 24 hours, a total of 69051 COVID tests were conducted in the city.

population to the deadly virus, the EPFO has extended the time limit up to February 28, 2021 for submission of Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan Patra) in respect of the Pensioners drawing pension under the EPS 1995 and whose Life certificate is due in any month till February 28, 2021.
