IAS officer gets temporary charge of Punjabi University

Patiala, November 26

Senior IAS officer Ravneet Kaur, Chief Secretary-cum-Financial Commissioner, Forest and Wildlife, has been allocated the temporary charge of Vice Chancellor, Punjabi University, Patiala. The decision in the regard was passed by the office of Rakesh Bhandari, Under Secretary, Punjab Raj Bhavan.

As such, the Governor and Chancellor of the university have accepted the resignation of Dr BS Ghuman from the post.

Ravneet Kaur is an IAS officer of the 1988 batch, and has worked as a Principal Secretary in the Departments of Higher Education and Languages, Coordination and Parliamentary Affairs. — TNS
