Kazakhstan national operator Kazakhtelecom has expanded the coverage of its LPWAN network. The operator has deployed 104 additional base stations in the Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, and Turkestan regions, as well as in the city of Almaty.
Kazakhtelecom started the deployment of its LPWAN network, enabling the connection of M2M and IoT devices, in 2017. A total of 428 base stations are now available in 17 cities across the country. The network currently covers a 5 million square km, including 1.8 million households.
The operator is using its Pavlodar-based data centre for the collection of data from M2M and IoT devices. The company has expanded the functions of the Network Server data processing platform.
