Tejaswi targets Nitish govt for not taking action in Srijan scam

Patna, Nov 27 (UNI) Leader of the opposition on Friday came down heavily on the Nitish Kumar government for not taking action in Srijan scam to the tune of Rs 3300 crore and wondered why the Chief Minister and the then Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi were not interrogated in this case, despite their patronage to

those involved in the scam.

Mr Yadav, while participating in a debate in the lower House on thanks motion to Governor for his address to Bihar Legislative Assembly, said that Chief Minister Mr Kumar was well aware of Srijan scam but he did not take any action against those involved, which tantamount to his patronage to them.

In CAG report, it was mentioned about Srijan scam and also in the year 2012, RBI had written a letter to Bihar government for taking action in illegal transaction from bank accounts in Bhagalpur where government fund as deposited, he added.

Leader of the opposition said that one Sanjeev Kumar had emailed a letter to Chief Minister Mr Kumar, years

before, it came in public domain. Mr Kumar, did not bother to take action and remained silent which indicated his patronage to accused of Srijan scam, he further said, adding that a total of 60 scams were engineered during Nitish regime which involved misappropriation of Rs 30,000 crores but all accused in these scams were allowed to go scot free.
