GURUGRAM: Mayor Madhu Azad on Thursday gave administrative approval to 10 development works to be carried out in city.
The projects include development and beautification of 11 parks in Sector 23 estimated at Rs 2.20 crore, construction of an indoor stadium in Sector 23 estimated to cost Rs 2.42 crore, construction of a chaupal in Choma village of Rs 2.12 crore, construction of a footpath in Sector 40 estimated to cost around Rs 1.63 crore among others.
“A total of 10 development works were given administrative approvals in a meeting held on Thursday. These development works will directly benefit the residents,” Azad said.
Moreover, approval was also given to an estimate of Rs 2.37 crore for construction of new footpaths and revamping old footpaths in Sector 23, Rs 1.41 lakh for installing a shed in MCG office in sector 42 and Rs 1.71 crore for some development works in Lt Atul Kataria Memorial School.
Besides the mayor, senior deputy mayor Pramila Gaje Kablana, deputy mayor Sunita Yadav and chief engineer Raman Sharma along with the executive engineers of the civic body were also present in the meeting.
The mayor directed the engineering wing officials to ensure that quality of construction in the development works is maintained.
