Rahul attacks PM over economy and farmers movement

Rahul attacks PM over economy and farmers movement

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over farmers movement and 'declining economy' and said that he must leave aside ego and the dictatorial attitude and take steps to tackle the situation.

'PM should have kept in mind that whenever ego clashes with the truth, it is defeated. The farmers who are fighting the battle of truth cannot be stopped by any government. Modi government will have to agree to farmers demands and roll back the new laws. This is just a beginning,' Rahul said taking to the micro blogging site twitter.

Sharpening his attack on the PM Modi over the economy, he said that it was for the first time ever that India's economy is officially in a recession, and added that 3 crore people are looking for work under MNREGA.

Taking to twitter, Rahul said 'Under PM Modi, India's economy is officially in a recession for the first time ever. More importantly, 3 crore people are still looking for work under MNREGA. Economy cannot be ordered to grow by diktats. PM needs to first understand this basic idea.'
