Ration kits distributed among 1,111 women

The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), under the supervision of its chairman-cum-Sessions Judge Gurbir Singh, has distributed ration kits among 1,111 needy women to help themselves survive in the tough situation arisen due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

CJM-cum-Secretary, DLSA, Preeti Sukhija apprised that 809 kits were distributed involving Aradhya, an NGO, and 302 kits by involving the DN Kotinis Health and Education Trust. Each woman was provided with 10 kg of wheat, 2 kg of sugar and 2 kg of pulses.

Food and Civil Supplies Department arranged the ration. DFSC (West) Sukhwinder Singh Gill, DFSC (East) Harveen Kaur and Civil Judge (Senior Division) Vikrant Kumar were among those others present.

Besides, the legal services authority also helped transgenders and needy section of society by distributing rations kits and masks among them.
