Romania's Ministry of Internal Affairs has signed a four-year framework agreement with the Centrul pentru Servicii de Radiocomunicatii (Center for Radiocommunication Services, CSR), Motorola Solutions' official distributor in Romania, for about 40,000 Tetra radio stations, writes local publication Profit.ro. As part of the framework agreement, the Romanian Police, the Border Police, the Jandarmeria (Gendarmerie) and other subordinate structures will be able to order new portable radio terminals for frontline personnel, general personal and work cars.
The number represents the equivalent value of 40,579 Tetra terminals related to lots 1, 3 and 4 of the auction, estimated at RON 100.5 million, without VAT. Estimated at RON 11.79 million, lot 2 comprising 3,562 Tetra terminals was canceled.
An association formed by Telsec and Marctel-SIT also submitted a tender.
