NEW DELHI: Nifty Bank stocks were trading on a positive note at 01:48PM (IST) on Friday.
Shares of Federal Bank (up 4.59 per cent), Punjab National Bank (up 3.43 per cent), IDFC Bank (up 2.93 per cent), RBL Bank (up 1.24 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (up 0.68 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While State Bank of India (down 0.81 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.74 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.44 per cent) and Bandhan Bank (down 0.34 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.13 per cent up at 29588.05 around 01:48PM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 5.55 points at 12992.55, while the BSE Sensex was down 6.5 points at 44253.24.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, BHEL and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Varun Beverages, Wockhardt, Apollo Tyres, Narayana Hrud and Chola Inv Fin hit their fresh 52 week high in today's trade, while Jump Networks Ltd., Standard Industries Ltd. and We Win Ltd. hit fresh 52 week low in trade.
