War against COVID-19: Young doc dies treating patients

Bhopal, Nov 26 (UNI) The ‘millennium scourge’ has snuffed out numerous lives and dealt a body blow to the economy but – in consonance with the sentiment that war brings out the worst and the best in people – India’s struggle against the novel coronavirus has spawned glorious and awe-inspiring anecdotes of indomitable courage, sheer sacrifice plus unalloyed dedication to duty by medical professionals, law-enforcement authorities, bank officials and others.
One such sterling example is that of Dr Shubham Upadhyay, an approximately 30-year-old physician who was taking care of COVID-19 sufferers for months together at the Sagar-based Bundelkhand Medical College. He recently became infected and was brought to the Madhya Pradesh capital for better treatment.

Alas, the gallant corona warrior succumbed on Wednesday at a private infirmary here.
