Goa State AIDS Control Society (SACS) organised a state level quiz competition for colleges in Goa. The competition was conducted to involve and engage college student members from the Red Ribbon Clubs to create awareness on topics HIV/AIDS, adolescent health, mental health, COVID-19, co-morbidities and any other public health threat, etc, and encourage them to discuss these issues through this mode.
Twenty-three colleges participated in the online quiz competition. The qualifying teams were Goa Medical College, Bambolim; Goa College of Home Science, Panaji; G R Kare College of Law, Margao and V V M’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economic, Margao respectively.
First place was won by Ashwin Mascarenhas and Chaitanya Naik of Goa Medical College, Bambolim; second place was won by Dayle Rebello and Nishad Hegde Dessai of GR Kare College of Law, Margao; third place was awarded to Luvica Fernandes and Gourish Prabhu Bhatikar of VVMS Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao and the fourth place was presented to Moha Fadte and Harshada Shripad Sawant of Goa College of Home Science, Panaji. All the winners were awarded a trophy, cash prize and a certificate.
