TARN TARAN: Police have arrested two minor boys for allegedly raping a 4-year-old migrant girl who lived in their neighborhood .
Senior Superintendent of police Dhruman H Nimblae informed on Thursday that the father of the girl in a complaint lodged with police alleged that two cousin brothers aged 11 and 12 years had allegedly raped his daughter.
He informed that police had registered a case under section 376 D, 34 IPC and section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012.
Father of the hapless girl informed that his daughter used to play with both the boys and had never thought that they would allegedly abuse the young girl.
The alleged minor accused (names withheld) are class 6th and 8th students who had committed the crime when their family members were not in their home. Sources informed that the boys lured the young girl and took her to the nearby deserted fields and allegedly raped her.
Father in his complaint lodged with police claimed that his wife had seen the boys sexually exploiting his daughter.
Sources however informed that the incident had happened on November 7 following which girl’s father approached his neighbourers complaining about their sons along with some local ‘influential’ people who tried to strike a compromise.
The matter was however suppressed for some days on the assurance of good conduct of the boys which didn’t happen forcing the father to seek police help.
In charge Sakhi One Stop Center Paramjit Kaur informed that both the boys were being sent to Faridkot Juvenile home on court's order.
(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme Court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
