On the plug 'n play console, you'll find an impressive greatest hits collection from the Genesis library. Sonic the Hedgehog, Earthworm Jim, Contra: Hard Corps, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Golden Axe, and Ecco the Dolphin still hold up quite well, and if you feel like something different you can try the underrated Eternal Warriors fighting game, the fast-paced action of Gunstar Heroes, or the classic RPG Shining Force.

"While the Mini isn't without a few quirks, it's heads and tails above previous software-emulation-based Genesis offerings that have plagued Sega fans for years," wrote Peter Brown in GameSpot's Sega Genesis Mini review.
